Daniel Mikel - DDS Class of 2020
Hi everyone! I’m Daniel Mikel and I’m a 3rd year here at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. I’m originally from Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. After earning my DDS, I hope to work in private practice with my brother and practice in the Midwest. Currently, I’m a coordinator for the Big-Little Sibling Program here at Pacific, a Clinic Representative for my group practice, and a tutor for all of the first year courses! In my spare time I work on a variety of entrepreneurial projects and spend time with family and friends. I love helping pre-dental students learn about dentistry, dental school, and the application process—and I can’t wait to work with all of you!
Lisa Carrington - DDS Class of 2020
Hi all! My name is Lisa Carrington and I am a 3rd year DDS student in the class of 2020. I grew up in the east bay before attending Loyola Marymount University where I majored in biology with a minor in business administration. After having gone through the application process myself (especially from a smaller school), I appreciate Dugoni PDB for being such an incredible resource for pre-dental information and providing a chance to see if dentistry is the right fit. Here at UOP, I am involved in the ASDA and peer tutoring programs as well as staying involved in multiple clubs and study groups. After dental school, I would like to work in a community clinic before applying to a pediatric specialty program or purchasing my own practice. I have always loved teaching and am so excited to share my dental knowledge with all of you. I am happy to help answer questions about dentistry or the application process and am looking forward to meeting all of you!
Nazlie Thaeri - DDS Class of 2020
Hi everyone! My name is Nazlie and I am a third year here at the Dugoni school of Dentistry. I went to UC Berkeley for undergrad (Go Bears!) where I majored in Integrative Biology and minored in Global Poverty and Practice. After dental school I hope to attend a General Practice Residency to hone my skills and expand my range of experiences. During my time in dental school I have become involved in a variety of organizations and have helped with many pre-dental events that the school hosts and sponsors. I recieved a lot of useful help and guidance when I was applying to dental school and I hope that I can give that back to the future generations of dentists. So don't be shy to reach out or just stop by to say hello!
Arryan Emamian- DDS Class of 2021
Hi Everyone! My name is Arryan Emamian and I am a 2nd-year dental student at the Dugoni School! I graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Biology Major and Chemistry Minor in 2017. Since I was in high school, my side passion has always been to teach and influence others in different subjects. I was President of USF’s Pre-Dental Society for two years and currently the Secretary at Pacific ASDA’s Chapter and Treasurer for District 11 ASDA. Aside from my passion to teach, I love to help students (especially pre-dents) in building an outstanding resumé/application for their post-graduate plans. If you have any questions about getting into dental school, please let me know! I look forward to meeting you all and working together!
Mehtab Warya - DDS Class of 2021
Hi everyone! My name is Mehtab Warya, and I’m currently a 2nd year at UOP. I’m from Kansas City, and I went to UOP’s 2+3 pre-dental program to get my Bachelors of Science degree. I love to dance, travel, and hike. On the weekends, I like to go on hikes and scrout for the idyllic sceneries of San Francisco. At school, I am a part of the Ortho study club leadership committee, and I’m a peer tutor for the first year science courses, I enjoy teaching, and I want to help pre-dental students because I know how confusing and strenuous the journey to getting into dental school can be. I look forward to meeting you and helping you through this process! We’re all here for you so don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us!
Jordan Belden - DDS Class of 2020
Hello future dentists! My name is Jordan Belden and I’m a 3rd year here at the prestigious Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry. I graduated from University of California, Irvine with a degree in Public Health Science and served as Historian for my school's pre-dental society. If anything else I’m also a huge fan of the profession of dentistry in general. My post grad plans are to practice as an associate or attend a post graduate programs such as a GPR or AEGD. Second Year Representative:
Greg Polonsky - DDS Class of 2021
Hi all! My name is Greg Polonsky and I am a second-year here at UoP in the class of 2021. I grew up in the South Bay and went to community college before transferring to UC Davis where I majored in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Technology Management. Going through the process of switching colleges halfway through my undergrad gave me a greater appreciation for having a variety of resources available to help me succeed, and that's why I believe that PDB is a great asset for helping to decide if dentistry is the right career for you. Currently I am also an events planner for both ASDA and ADEA here at school and have many years of experience tutoring. I look forward to meeting and working with all of you in the upcoming year!
